Practice duration and days
6U - One weekend practice of 30 minutes before the Saturday game.
8U - One weekday practice of 45-60 minutes.
10U - Two weekday practices of 60 minutes each.
12U - Two weekday practices of 60-75 minutes each.
14U - Two weekday practices of 75-90 minutes each.
Practice location and time
The practice location and time will be available after your child is assigned to a team and is determined by the team's head coach. Coaches are parents just like you who have volunteered to coach your child's team. We give them the flexibility to have practice at a time and location convenient to them. All weekday practices are in the evening beginning between 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
We are always looking for new parents to take on head and assistant coaching roles. An additional critical volunteer role is our referees who are needed for all games at 8U and above. All of these roles provide a great opportunity to stay connected with your child's development!
You do not need any prior experience to be a coach or referee! AYSO provides world-class training to our volunteers. It is beneficial to start volunteering early in younger divisions and progress to older divisions as your child grows older as coaching and refereeing for the younger age groups are a great time to learn.
Game location and duration
